...when the Grey Cooper Love Party juggernaut parks up at the Chairworks Recording Studios in newly fashionable Castleford, West Yorkshire, you know a major band recording event is about to take place. These musicians deliver the best and want the best so, faders are polished, meters tapped, hard drives wiped, microphones hum in anticipation and all knobs are set to funk: maximum (that’s just above 11 for all you tweakheads). Band members arrive in a variety of ways: grooving, absailing, sauntering. Then the main man is here, Grey Cooper, a towering dude of funk for these impoverished X-factor times. Work can begin...

...band and studio are now one, and a few days later, the result? This sweeeet music. None finer. Premier Cru.

A month passes and an idea. Remember the Philadelphia sound? Show respect for some soul brothers called MFSB, the inspiration for a remix. Duly delivered, though in truth really just echoes of an earlier, disco-bright era. New again, as it should be.
